Rubber Lined Slurry Pump
The old Allis Chalmers “standard” SRL & SRL-C rubber lined slurry pump range is currently manufactured by Tuff Pumps under its equivalent R Series range and, as such, has fully retained its dimensional and material compatibility whilst ensuring that current material technology advancements are incorporated in the material options provided; with these being Natural Rubber, Synthetic Rubber, and Urethane, and also in combinations of Rubber or Urethane Liners with 28% High Chrome Iron or Stainless Steel Impellers.

Group 0 Bearing Frame:
R2/2-10 = 2x2x10 SRL
Group 1 Bearing Frame:
R3/3-10 = 3x3x10 SRL
R3/3-10C = 3x3x10 SRL-C
Group 2 Bearing Frame:
R5/4-14C = 5x4x14 SRL-C
R5/5-14 = 5x5x15 SRL
R6/6-15 = 6x6x15 SRL
Group 3 Bearing Frame:
R8/6-18C = 8x6x18 SRL-C
R10/8-21C = 10x8x21 SRL-C
Group 4 & 5 Bearing Frame:
R12/10-25C = 12x10x21 SRL-C
R14/12-29C = 14x12x29 SRL-C
For those that do not know, the first number in the above pump designation refers to the suction nozzle nominal bore, the second to the discharge nominal bore, and the third to the full impeller diameter. The “C” in the R8/6-21C and SRL-C designates a “closed” impeller design, where those without it designate an “open” impeller design.
All bearing frames/pedestals and bearing cylinders/end caps are manufactured using SG/Ductile Iron, as opposed to inferior Grey Cast Iron that some still use, and shafts can be supplied in standard SAE 1045 Steel, 316 or 304SS, and Duplex Stainless Steel.
Grease or oil mist lubrication options are available and standard lip seal and deflector type bearing sealing systems can be replaced with up-to-date labyrinth type sealing systems.
As with the original range, the Tuff Pumps R Series equivalents can be supplied with standard gland packed stuffing boxes, mechanical seals, or dynamic/expeller type sealing arrangements.
